Nutshell
Everything we need to know in a nutshell

Today we link and excerpt several articles reviewing the issues Israel is facing literally, today. Issues such as:
- Peace? The Arabs want the Jews dead and destroyed.

- "Palestinians"? No such thing.

- Israel from the River to the Sea (and more) is Jewish land.

- The "two-state solution" is nonsensical and suicidal.

- Arabs were complicit with the Nazis in promoting and developing the Final Solution; Benjamin Netanyahu was right.

(from The Jewish Leadership Blog, 10/21/2015)

First paragraph
"I am the landlord here, and if you (Ed. note: "you" meaning Jews, Israelis, etc.) don't like it, you can leave" exclaimed Arab MK Ahmed Tibi from the Knesset podium approximately one week ago. Amazing that in that one sentence, Tibi encapsulated the very root of the current intifada. That is, Jews acting like squatter tenants in their own land and being subverted to the will of the landlord Arabs.

Last paragraph
It is the lack of proper response and the lack of proper action through law and sovereignty enforcement that fuels the current intifada. In addition to correcting those however a third definitive action is needed. Recall that before the Israeli Oslo cult imported terrorism into the heart of Israel, Arafat and the PLO were a broken bunch and aside from an incident here and there, there was a relative calm. It was only after the Arab was given the hope of a two-state solution from where he could then plan to wipe out the Jews, did the current situation have its genesis. Therefore the hope of an illegitimate Arab state for a mythical Palestinian people must be taken away permanently with the immediate annexation of Yesha (Judea/Samaria). All Israeli Arabs will then be given the option of staying or be given money and a plane ticket to the new European caliphate in formation or any other Arab land of their choice. The PA, Hamas and all other terrorist organizations will be deported or eliminated. And finally, it's time Israel gave the middle finger to the UN on the way out the door while also showing UNRWA, UNESCO and all the other useless and Jew-hating inciting UN cabals, the way out of the country. All this is needed to tell Tibi et al and the world one thing. We are the landlords here and the Arab is on a month to month lease.

2. AFSI's Chairman, Mark Lanfan, hits another home run (like our beloved NY Mets!) with his insightful analysis and exposure of the ridiculous position still espoused by many "enlightened" leaders in the West and Israeli politicians on the left; that is, the promotion of a "two-state solution.

Excerpt:
In the face of Palestinian blood-lust and barbarity beyond measure, what does MK Tzipi Livni, co-leader of the opposition, do? Does she attack the blood-dripping Palestinian terrorists who are murdering Jews in the streets of Jerusalem and Be'er Sheva? No. Does she call out Palestinian President Abbas for inciting the Palestinian murders with his blood-libels and hate-speech? No, she attacks PM Netanyahu claiming Netanyahu has convinced us "that we are weak ghetto Jews in the Middle East."

Memo to Livni: The "Two-State Solution" has already turned the entire state of Israel into a pre-Holocaust ghetto.

3. From our good friend, David Wilder: The Mufti: Past and Present

Excerpt:
Haj Amin el Husseini is a well-known figure here in Hebron. He was the primary inciter, leading to the 1929 riots and massacre which left some 140 people dead, 67 of them killed in Hebron. On Friday Aug. 23 he spread rumors that Jews were attempting to conquer Temple Mount and that Jewish blood was flowing through the streets of Jerusalem. This was, of course, a lie, but the immediate reaction of Arabs: to kill Jews. That was el Husseini's intended goal.

Haj Amin el Husseini had a self-proclaimed successor. His name was Yasser Arafat. When the Russians opened the gates of the Iron Curtain he pleaded with Communist leaders to prevent Jews from coming to Israel.

Yesterday, October 21, 2015: Déjà Vu. Twice in one day the Mufti miraculously reappeared.

The United Nations, utilizing UNESCO, declared that Ma'arat HaMachpela the Tomb of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs, is solely a Muslim holy site, totally precluding its importance, significance and sanctity to the Jewish people. For 700 years Arabs prevented access to this place to anyone not Muslim. Presently the Arab desire to reinstitute this policy has taken on international support, in the form of the UN.

And in the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, an Arab MK, Achmad Tibi, Arafat's right-hand man, an Arab PA infiltrator into Israeli politics, acting in his absurd capacity of 'Deputy Speaker of the Knesset' not only ejected Minister Ze'ev Elkin from the podium and from the plenary, but also declared that "I am the sovereign here."

Thanks
Thank you Reps Roskam, Zeldin, Lance, Lamborn

Yesterday, House Republican Israel Caucus Co-Chairs Reps. Peter Roskam (R-IL), Lee Zeldin (R-NY), Leonard Lance (R-NJ), and Doug Lamborn (R-CO) sent a letter to the ambassadors to the U.S. from Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco condemning their resolution which wrongly condemns Israel of violating the status quo of the Temple Mount, falsely accuses Israel's security measures against terrorism as illegal aggression, and asserts false Palestinian claims to historical Jewish sites. This resolution was recently adopted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The letter urges the Arab states to play a constructive role in halting Palestinian terrorism and to work to foster peace between Israelis and Palestinians. In the letter, the lawmakers wrote:

"This Palestinian-drafted resolution egregiously reconstructs thousands of years of Jewish history and attempts to remove Jewish connection from the holiest of Jewish sites, including Rachel's Tomb and the Cave of the Patriarchs. These inaccurate depictions of Jewish sites will only serve to exacerbate tensions between Israelis and Palestinians and incite further violence... The Arab world can and should play an important and constructive role in fostering peace between Israelis and Palestinians. We condemn this resolution and urge you to take steps to quell Palestinian terrorism and bring us closer to peace in the region."

The UNESCO resolution was widely condemned by the international community and the Director-General of UNESCO. Twenty-six UNESCO representatives voted in favor of the resolution, six voted against, and twenty-five abstained. Along with the United States, Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Estonia opposed the resolution.

The letter below was sent individually to all six ambassadors.

October 21, 2015
His Excellency Yousef Al Otaiba
Embassy of the United Arab Emirates
3522 International Court NW,
Washington, DC 20008

Dear Ambassador Al Otaiba,
We are greatly disturbed by the "Occupied Palestine" resolution submitted by your government and adopted by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). This resolution, which wrongly condemns Israel of violating the status quo of the Temple Mount, falsely accuses Israel's security measures against terrorism as illegal aggression, and asserts false Palestinian claims to historical Jewish sites, forces us to question your commitment to halting the recent violence within Israel and the West Bank and achieving a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

In the past weeks, we have witnessed a dangerous increase of Palestinian terrorism against Israelis. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas recently stated, "We welcome every drop of blood spilled in Jerusalem. This is pure blood, clean blood, blood on its way to Allah. With the help of Allah, every martyr will be in heaven, and every wounded will get his reward." Responding to his call for violence, Palestinian terrorists have executed indiscriminate stabbing, shooting, and car-ramming attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers, leaving nine Israelis dead and over a hundred more wounded.

This Palestinian-drafted resolution egregiously reconstructs thousands of years of Jewish history and attempts to remove Jewish connection from the holiest of Jewish sites, including Rachel's Tomb and the Cave of the Patriarchs. These inaccurate depictions of Jewish sites will only serve to exacerbate tensions between Israelis and Palestinians and incite further violence. We condemn these insidious actions and urge you to take steps which will relieve tensions in Jerusalem, including actions to discourage Palestinians from using the Al Aqsa Mosque as a base for violent uprisings against Israelis.

We agree with Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova, who stated that she, "deplores the recent proposal under discussion by the UNESCO Executive Board that would be seen to alter the status of the Old City of Jerusalem and its Walls, inscribed on UNESCO's world heritage list, and that could further incite tensions."

The Arab world can and should play an important and constructive role in fostering peace between Israelis and Palestinians. We condemn this resolution and urge you to take steps to quell Palestinian terrorism and bring us closer to peace in the region.

Very truly yours,

PETER. J. ROSKAM, Member of Congress
LEE M. ZELDIN, Member of Congress
LEONARD LANCE, Member of Congress
DOUG LAMBORN, Member of Congress

BETAR, Jabotinsky and the Shtetl
Throughout the 1930s, Jewish political movements in Warsaw set out to transform the hearts and minds of Jewish youth in small towns across Poland. Among these urban activists were the leaders of Betar, the youth movement of Vladimir Jabotinsky's Revisionist party. Armed with longstanding stereotypes about shtetl life, Betar leaders were certain that bringing "modernity" and "progress" to these towns would mobilize their youth for the Zionist cause. Drawing on YIVO's collection of youth autobiographies from the 1930s, and previously unexamined correspondence between Betar's headquarters in Warsaw and its small-town outposts, Daniel Heller (McGill University) reveals the tensions that arose between these urban activists and the young Jews they sought to transform.
