Dear Friends,  

     We're calling for a noon VIGIL OF CONSCIENCE at the Israeli Consulate, on Tuesday, Dec. 22, Asara B'Tevet to protest the reported brutal imprisonment and torture of Israeli minors who were arrested on vague suspicions of involvement in the Duma arson situation which cost the lives of 3 members of the Dawabshe family last summer. Administrative detention was used as the means of arresting and imprisoning the boys without giving them the opportunity to meet with their lawyers, knowing what the charges were against them, and learning about any evidence pointing to them. Tragically, Israel's Deputy AG confirmed that "exceptional measures" are being used by the Shin Bet. The Arab Supreme Court Judge turned down their appeal for legal representation. 

      At least one of the boys holds dual citizenship, U.S. and Israeli. The same may be true of some others. 

       The situation cries out for remedy and true justice. If there is evidence - to date none has been presented- then charges should be made and the legal procedure should be followed. If there are no charges, the cases should be dropped. 

      Please let me know if you will join us on Tuesday afternoon, spread the word on Facebook and twitter, alert the news agencies, and do everything possible to attract as large a crowd as possible to this emergency situation. If you have connections with Arutz Sheva, or any of the Israeli news outlets, let them know we are taking action.
