Ohr Naava, we KNEAD you! Wednesday October 21st will be the Great Big Challah Bake, taking place in Grand Prospect Hall. This is going to be a super Ohr Naava, we KNEAD you! Wednesday October 21st will be the Great Big Challah Bake, taking place in Grand Prospect Hall. This is going to be a super cool event, with Shimi Adar emceeing and Chani Juravel sharing insights on the significance of the mitzvah of hafrashas challah. Plus, we will be making the longest challah ever to be officially entered in the Guinness World Records, a unity challah! The program is intended for any Jewish woman over age 12. Each table will be led by a "challah coach" who will be guiding her group so that each participant will come home with two challahs to be baked in her oven at home. The challah bake is the pre-game event before the Shabbos Project, happening parshat Lech Lecha, Oct 23-24, with the intention of uniting as many Jews as possible regardless of affiliation or observance (and doesn't klall yisarel need some achdus now?!). So ladies, think about who you can bring to this event...hope to see you! I'm sending the flyer with the link to the student rate of $10 as opposed to the $18 fee. In the registration form, brooklynchallahbake.com/student, there is a tab where you can enter seating request and/or organization, so you can be seated appropriately.
