Fwd: Take Off the Gloves say Chaim Silverstein ...Letter by Helen Freedman Co-Executive Director AFSI

Bsd

"TAKE OFF THE GLOVES...OUR WONDERFUL IDF HAS BEEN RESTRAINED FOR TOO LONG - TAKE ACTION!"

It was with an aching heart that I read my dear friend, Chaim Silberstein's anguished cry to Prime Minister Netanyahu: "Enough Jewish Blood Has Been Spilt." Chaim, and his wife Liora, had just buried their 3 day old first grandson at the Mt. of Olives. The child had been murdered in the womb of his mother, Shira Ish-Ran, who is miraculously recovering from the bullet wound that severed her femoral artery. The baby's father suffered three bullets to his leg, but is also recovering. These miracles occurred b'Ezrat HaShem, with the help of the doctors at Shaarei Tzedek, with all of Am Yisrael, praying and donating blood.

Now it is time for PM Netanyahu, who is also Israel's Defense Minister, to answer some of the questions Chaim Silberstein asks in his letter to the PM, following the next horrible terror attack where two Israeli soldiers were killed, a third was critically wounded, and another Beit-El resident named Shira was seriously hurt.

Chaim asks whether his precious Amiad Yisrael will remain just another statistic. "Will the security of our brothers and sisters be neglected just to advance yet another process, or to sign another meaningless paper at the behest of some government in some far-away friendly or not so friendly, country? WILL JUSTICE BE SERVED? WILL MEANINGFUL MILITARY ACTIONS BE TAKEN TO PROTECT OUR SECURITY? Will measures be taken to develop the heartland of our holy and precious Eretz Yisrael?"

Liora Silberstein insists that "Our government must know: It is truly unthinkable that sweet, innocent children are shot at with impunity. We cannot accept such a situation." Chaim asks for, "Firm and effective action to prevent the next attacks and to restore deterrence!"

And finally, we join in his request to Netanyahu - "TAKE OFF THE GLOVES...OUR WONDERFUL IDF HAS BEEN RESTRAINED FOR TOO LONG - TAKE ACTION!"
