This Sunday January 24th,  Welcoming in Tu B'shvat  starting, 5pm Brooklyn AFSI invites you to participate at the Ticker Residence to celebrate Eretz Chemda Tova Urechava, the Beautiful Land of Eretz Yisroel! 

We can't compete with Eretz Yisroel,  but if you can't actually be in Eretz Yisroel for Tu B'shvat, please join us in Brooklyn! 

And if this is not practical, please celebrate Tu Bishvat  elsewhere or in your own home or community. 

Aish offers wonderful material about the TuB'Shvat Seder. There are great ads for Tu B'shvat Menus.  Even if like me, you never ever celebrated Tu B'Shvat in this manner, it's not too late to look into it (like I am doing)....

Brooklyn Tu B'shvat: Tentative Program

5pm: Business

• Helping Jewish Duma Suspects: Report on various groups/organizations who are working on helping them (Let us offer financial and moral support to these organizations that are involved in their defense)
• Biblical Path to Peace: Report on this Organization which is trying to make a real difference in the Knesset. They have been in touch with MK Tzippy Hatoveli (see link to video above)
• Biblical Awareness re: Israel's right to the Land of Israel (what we can do here in the Diaspora)
• Unite Rabbi's to speak out for Israel's Right to the Land based on the Bible
• Unite Abrahamic Clerics to speak out for Israel's Right to the Land based on the Bible
• Education and Awareness of the 7 Noahide Laws
• Sign up to Brooklyn Afsi subcommittees

6Pm: Tu Bishvat Seder (We will follow Aish Guidelines see above) Including live and/or recorded music relevant to Eretz Yisroel and Tu Bishvat

Please RSVP!  We need to know how many place settings to set up and how many people to prepare for! We will decide if this is sit down or buffet. Depends on how many of us show up. 

Participants: Let me know how you would like to help with the Tu Bishvat Seder.  Let us know if any of the recipes above looks appetizing and interesting and if you wish to be part of the food preparation committee. It would be greatly appreciated.  We are all new to this.  Our very own Rivky Helmus will help to prepare dishes for this event iyh.. She is looking into starting a business of her own,  preparing customized meals and/or salads to order and we are delighted that she is part of our Brooklyn Afsi  team helping with this event. This must be a joint venture.  We all must contribute our fair share.  Rivky is an amazing cook and you can sample some of her great recipes for future orders iyh.  Any donations to help Rifky and AFSI Brooklyn to cover costs for dishes for this Tu Bishvat Event is greatly appreciated! Contributions of Wine Fruits etc. is most welcome as well but please coordinate with us if you can! KT Looking forward to hearing from you!
