Bringing Comfort - Tisha Be'Av Campaign 5777 - Building a Shul in Memory of the Hatuel Family to Elevate their Neshomas and Bring Consolation to David Hatuel coming to NYC this week!

bs"d
If you are in the NY Metropolitan Area please see the Itinerary below for this week for David Hatuel and Dror Vanunu former Director of the Katif Region Development now part of Gush Katif Committee http://www.gushkatif.co.il/en/ to help the Displaced Persons of Gush Katif. We have an opportunity to actually meet and give Chizuk to these heroic people!
What a better way to bring consolation to the horrible destruction on Tisha Be'Av in Gush Katif than to be part of building campaign of a Shul in Karmei Katif in memory of the Hatuel Family?
For those of you who forgot what happened here is some background information.
Important Lesson in Emunah - Please take a moment to read this writeup of Chofetz Chaim Heritage Foundation (CCHF) Interview with David Hatuel in 2004 following the Massacre of His Family. http://afsibrooklyn.blogspot.com/2017/08/lesson-in-emunah-chofetz-chaim-heritage.html
Today 13 years later David Hatuel B"H, bli ayin hara, has a new life, a wife and children, and is the father of 5.
We can all bring some comfort! It is still very painful for David Hatuel to speak about his loss!
Please join us this time celebrating Life by being part of the building of a shul to elevate these precious Neshamoth and bring consolation to David Hatuel and his community in Karmei Katif built on the ruins of destruction.
Letter from:  Helen Freedman and Judy Freedman Kadish, Co - Executive Directors of AFSI
In 2004, shortly before the Garush (expulsion) a very pregnant Tali Hatuel and her four young daughters were on their way to protest the threatened expulsion of the residents of Gush Katif.  As she drove to meet David, her husband and father of her children, she and her daughters were brutally murdered by terrorists. Can you imagine anything more horrific to face in a lifetime?
David Hatuel is strong and purposeful and he has rebuilt his life He is remarried and has a family.  Twelve years later, David and his new family still live in a caravan as do 10% of the former Gush Katif residents.  Many of these people will move into homes in Karmei Katif; but they must have a synagogue to be able to call this community their home.
David Hatuel is coming to the US to raise money for the new synagogue in this new community, Karmei Katif, which will be built in memory of his pregnant murdered wife and four daughters. His story is painful, but it must be told to achieve this sacred goal.
Please partner in the building of this Synagogue in Karmei Katif in memory of David's wife Tali and his daughters HY"D.
