Dear Friends and Lovers of Eretz Yisroel, amv"sh

The Yeshiva in Sderot was used as a base for the IDF in previous wars in Gaza.   It has a Rocket Proof Beis Medrash Building.

Their Beis Medrash is rocket proof but their dormitories are not.

Now that my son Moishe is stationed close to Gaza in a Givati unit,  I wonder if he and his comrades will one day also be helped and protected by Sderot Yeshiva.  I remember my cousin Yossi Baumol who was a fundraiser for Yeshiva Sderot at the time of Operation Protective Edge in 2014 speaking about the unbelievable amount of food and supplies flowing into the Yeshiva for the Soldiers, the Yeshiva and the Community.   This Yeshiva is a backbone for Sderot and literally is instrumental in its revival following years of rocket attacks after the expulsion of Gush Katif.  So many families of the community left since staying in a place where you had only 15 seconds to run for shelter is extremely difficult.  But the Yeshiva dug in its heels and stayed and gave Chizuk and continues to give Chizuk to Sderot~

Miriam Gottlieb who is fundraising for Yeshiva Sderot who has been in touch with me, says that  13 rockets have fallen in Southern Israel in the last 3 weeks, one of them right across the street from the Yeshiva Hesder Sderot, near a kindergarten.
Thanks to a generous group of matching donors —

She writes:
We have an opportunity to QUADRUPLE each dollar raised for our NEW ROCKET PROTECTED DORMITORY. That means if you donate $100 it turns into $400. And $500 is worth $2000 etc.
Our matching donors want to ensure an active and sustainable support base for THE SDEROT HESDER YESHIVA.  We are aiming to raise $250,000 which will be matched with $750,000 allowing us to build this much needed dormitory.  Given the current situation, it cannot be built too soon.  Our students need to sleep safely at night.  Please do what you can to help

Please do not delay as time is running out, for this campaign.  They are close to reaching their goal.  Grab the chance to be part of this Mitzva! May Hashem Bless you in kind and may you and your family always be safe.

Kol Tuv,

Robin Ticker
