It's A Law! Israel is the National Home of the Jewish People

For those who doubted Israel as a nation, Hebrew as its official language and the Blue Star of David as its official flag ----DOUBT NO MORE!

The Knesset overnight Wednesday-Thursday passed into law the nation-state bill that for the first time enshrines Israel as "the national home of the Jewish people" in its quasi-constitutional Basic Laws.

Full text of the Nation State Law HERE.
There ARE Limits:
A Win-Win for Judea and Samaria

The Knesset approved a law earlier this week that would limit Palestinian access to the High Court of Justice and expand jurisdiction of the Administrative Court beyond sovereign Israel.
This marks a 51-year change in the way Judea and Samaria land cases will be handled, by moving them first to an administrative court which previously did not have judicial purview with regard to Judea and Samaria.

The bill is a win-win for Judea and Samaria as it will "normalize the lives of the residents," said JM Ayelet Shaked, who championed the legislation.

Story HERE.
He Said What?

"The south of Syria should be brought to the full compliance with the treaty of 1974, about the separation of forces of Israel and Syria. This will bring peace to the Golan Heights, and bring a more peaceful relationship between Syria and Israel, and also provide security for the State of Israel."

That was said by President Validmir Putin within the first five minutes of his statement at the Helsinki Summit. As noted in our Monday newsletter, President Trump 'paid particular attention' to Israel's security. This made PM Netanyahu smile. We like hearing it too.

Silence is Not Golden

And it's keeping the truth from being disseminated.

Yishai Fleisher's Opinion in the Forward is a (tongue-in-cheek) defense of the recent Birthrights walkouts. Thanks to the deafening silence of the Diaspora about anything and everything related to what they call the 'West Bank', including the REAL, FACT BASED Jewish story of Judea and Samaria, left-wing NGO IfNotNow succeeds in instilling hatred of Israel.

We know the world has been kept in the dark about the realities of Judea and Samaria. Are the Birthright walkouts a signal that it is time for Birthright and other organizations that sponsor trips to Israel, to incorporate visits to Judea and Samaria in their itineraries? AFSI strongly believes in that, and has been taking mission members to the disputed communities for the past 25 years. We would welcome all organizations to come on board with us. Our itineraries are on the AFSI website for all to see and share, if they wish. Join us on the upcoming mission, October 30-Nov. 5 for a taste of what AFSI offers on a semi-annual basis. There is no way anyone can speak about Israel as an "occupier" after being on an AFSI Chizuk mission to Israel.
Releasing the UNRWA Report:
An Obama Holdover

A recent report in The Washington Free Beacon states that the Trump administration is continuing the Obama policy of refusing to release a secret State Department report about Palestinian refugees.

With the Trump administration we've seen many gestures benefiting Israel. Is releasing the UNRWA report not a priority in the grand scheme of the President's agenda? Critical issues facing Israel continue and we believe the release of the UNRWA report can EXPOSE THE REALITIES Israel faces everyday.

Read Stephen Flatow's OpEd HERE.

Warning Signs Ignored. A Washington Times report reveals the Obama administration used taxpayer money to oust Netanyahu in last year's parliamentary elections.

Take Bold Steps. Saudi journalist calls on Arab countries to include certain concessions in order to advance peace with Israel.

Not in our Schools. Knesset passes bill banning left wing NGO Break the Silence from schools.

No Injuries. Firebomb landed in a kindergarten in the Sdot Negev Regional Council. The traumas suffered by the residents of Sderot and the communities bordering Gaza may never be overcome. The Israeli government MUST WIN the battle against the terrorists.

Trees Burned. Arabs set fire to dozens of trees belonging to a Yitzhar farmer. AFSI visits Yitzhar on a regular basis. During our last trip in April, we were told that there was concern about the Arabs burning the wheat fields owned by Ayelet and Akiva HaCohen. AFSI members chipped in to pay for special equipment to build a firewall in the fields so that the fire would be contained. We are appalled to hear that fires are being set by Arabs from a nearby village and that the government is NOT removing the arsonists. That is a total disgrace.

Better Without Hamas. Gaza administration tells Gaza residents life would be better without Hamas.
