Meet Rabbi Moshe and Leah Goldsmith of Itamar, Israel Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 21, 7:30 PM
Rabbi Moshe and Leah Goldsmith have led in the development of their beautiful community, Itamar, in the Shomron. Rabbi Goldsmith served as Mayor of Itamar for many years, with Leah always at his side. When the Fogel family was brutally killed by Arab infiltrators into their community, the Goldsmiths went on a countrywide tour speaking about the horrific terror attack. AFSI has visited there many times, most recently spending a beautiful Shabbat in the Goldsmith home.
Itamar is a large, thriving, beautiful community in the Shomron. With a growing Yeshiva, organic farming at Givat Olam, great views of two biblical heights, Har Gerizim and Har Ebal, the mountains of blessing and cursing, and overlooking Shechem, Itamar is a must-visit on your next trip to Israel.
The event is open free to the public. All donations will go to the Itamar community.

Insensitive and Abhorrent: There is a report in today's Wall Street Journal that a "Palestinian" woman whose husband was convicted of participating in a terror attack that killed six Israelis in 1980, will be speaking this evening at a Clinton Global Initiative dinner. Republicans criticized her speaking:
The Republican National Committee said featuring the teacher, Hanan al-Hroub, at the last Clinton Global Initiative event was insensitive particularly as New York law enforcement is investigating a New Jersey man for planting bombs in the region. Ms. al-Hroub's husband, Omar, served 10 years in an Israeli prison for his role in the bombing.
"In the wake of this weekend's attacks, granting a platform to the spouse of a terrorist bomb-maker just miles away from where explosives were detonated days ago is an insult to the victims and makes a mockery of the Clinton Foundation" said Raj Shah, deputy communications director of the Republican National Committee.
Interestingly, Haim Saban, a democrat and major Clinton donor, stated, "Hanan al-Hroub is a beacon of hope in a part of the world that is very dear to me and in desperate need of more hope," the statement from Mr. Saban said. "I only wish more people honored her and the cause that she embodies."

The invitation given to this woman to speak at a Clinton dinner is insensitive and abhorrent, given the terror that has been occurring in the US at an almost daily pace, It also provides an indication of the huge gap between the Democratic and Republican positions on how to deal with terror and relations with Muslims in general.
Obviously, not all Muslims are terrorists and we shouldn't necessarily assign guilt by association. However, with citizens across the country on edge, giving such an honor to the wife of a terrorist (and a terrorist he will remain forever), is more than insensitive; it is an insult.
