We are hoping Rabbi Avi Schwartz who came in from Israel will call in live with a video chat telling us about Martef HaShoach a Holocaust Museum on Har Zion. Har Zion was liberated by Rabbi Schwartz's father z"l who was in the Palmach in 1948 War of Independence and at age 19 helped to liberate Har Zion. At that time ashes from the Holocaust were brought to Israel and were buried on Har Zion is a very moving Ceremony.  This museum was also just visited by our very own Brooklyn chapter chairperson Lorrie Fein who is now in Israel ahead of schedule and will be part of the AFSI delegation to Chevron this coming Shabbat in honor of Shabbat Chayei Sarah. Shabbat Chayei Sarah is the Shabbat where tens of thousands of Jews stream to Chevron to commemorate the purchase of Maarat HaMachpela, by Avraham Avinu for 400 Silver Shekalim

http://www.chabad.org/parshah/article_cdo/aid/2713/jewish/The-Hebron-Purchase.htm,,,, Israel is the eternal inheritance of the Jewish people, equally the property of every individual Jew. And so it has been from the very first moment of Jewish ownership of the Holy Land: the first plot of land obtained by the first Jew included a share for every Jewish soul.

Lorrie emailed me that she was in Oscar  Schindler's grave, and visited Holocaust Museum on Har Tzion and Kever David on Har Zion.

Hope to see you tomorrow. Again, please try to rsvp if you can come. TYSM
