bs"d

Here is the formal invitation for the annual Rachel's Children Reclamation Foundation Dinner.  Once again Evelyn has an amazing lineup of speakers and presenters.

Let us show our Solidarity with the wonderful work of Evelyn Haze and the Rachel's Children Reclamation Foundation at Kever Rochel!

There are special rates for AFSI members.  Please email me if you are interested!

Please send in your journal ads! Evelyn would love to publish any kind words you have to say about RCRF or about any of the honorees. Send it to rachelschildren@gmail.com

As usual, Evelyn has lined up an action filled evening!
  • Rabbi Yosef Mizrachi, the keynote speaker will provoke serious thought as his speeches are always stimulating and thought provoking. Whether or not you want to hear his message albeit often fascinating and controversial , one can not argue that he has the best interest of the Jewish people in mind. Involved in Kiruv and Musar he wakes us up from our lethargy.  That wakeup call is not always an easy one to digest.
  • Dr. Paul and wife Drora Brody, this year's Master of Ceremonies and last year's honorees at the RCRF Dinner, have accumulated a storehouse of pro Israel activism diamonds over the years.  Their involvement with the Israel Day Concert, and bringing influential politicians and Media personnel to Israel to speak out for Judea and Samaria has made them one of our untold heroes of our day along with their team Dr. Joseph Frager,  Odeleya Jacobs and Rabbi Algaze!
  • David Haies, Evelyn's son, is an apple that has not fallen far from the tree, who  has served honorably in the IDF and whose love for Israel is a natural outcome of his upbringing.  He experienced first hand what it felt like to be a lone soldier.  He is a valuable mentor for anyone who wishes to leave the comfort of the USA to serve in the IDF.
  • Alexander Gelman PHD will be speaking about Jewish DNA and ancestry. I personally am excited to hear what he has to say!  (Will his research help Moshiach discern from which Tribe each of us belong?!! Yovel would be really an interesting experience!  Rochel Imeinu is crying for her children, the 10 Lost Tribes who have been lost and separated from the rest of the Tribes.  Will his work in uncovering our ancestry help fulfill the age old prophesy of returning Rachel's Children to their borders? These are some of the relevant questions I would like to ask him...)
  • Henni Machlis ob"m and her husband Rabbi Mordechai Machlis was a legend in her time. From the very beginning of their marriage they opened their homes to anyone that needed a place for Shabbos.  How many lost souls did they bring back?  Their open house of wall to wall tables and chairs was on a shoe string budget, yet it didn't stop this family from accommodating all that needed a warm and nurturing environment to enjoy Shabbos.  May she be a Meilitz Yosher and may her Neshoma have an Aliya from all the continued acts of kindness of her family members who are carrying on in her footsteps. The award will be accepted by her niece Esti Dershowitz.
  •  The Rachel Imeinu Young Leadership Awardee  is Tanya Sarah Sheivester  She leads many youth missions. She  will be introduced by Tiferet Levi- last year's recipient.  Tiferet was an amazing honoree last year and I am sure Tanya is as well....
  • Robert Sidi who will be accepting the Memorial award for our dear friend Charlotte Wahle obm who passed away on Rachel Imeinu's Yahrzeit.  Robert is known for his dedication in promoting Israel events. Events that promote Judea and Samaria, such as this one,  are the ones most close to his heart.  He has accomplished this feat via his Israel Advocacy Calendar which personally I have included in the postscript of my emails since it is such a helpful calendar for any Advocate for Israel. Charlotte is sorely missed in the AFSI circle of friends.  Small in stature but a giant in her love and advocacy for Israel
  • Shloimy Bluth and Cantor David Presler will provide  musical entertainment with a song whose lyrics were written by Evelyn Haze, author and poet. For that alone, it will be worthwhile to come.
RCRF has created a living presence in Kever Rochel. There are weekly Torah classes and guest lecturers and educational programs with actualization in progress of dreams for a museum and Simcha Hall.

Anyone who has attended past RCRF dinners know that there is always a delicious and filling  fleishik spread not to mention a wonderful cake in the shape of Kever Rochel contributed by Pressers Bakery.

So don't be a stranger!  We want you to come and enjoy and share an event to honor Israel, proud of our Heritage, that is all substance and no fluff.  Again, if you know any of the honorees or presenters of honorees and wish to honor them in the journal please send in your journal ad asap! If you want to attend and would like to take advantage of AFSI Member's special rates please get in touch with me or with Evelyn. (faigerayzel@gmail.com rachelschildren@gmail.com). If you are unable to attend but wish to send in a contribution it will be most welcome and you can help sponsor someone else to come in your place).

Hoping to hear from you soon! Robin
